What you will do

• Lead the technical security for the cloud and edge estate, partnering with platform engineering on guardrails and secure landing zones.
• Own Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tooling, tuning policies and driving remediation of security findings.
• Manage AWS security across IAM, network controls, encryption, logging, and workload protection.
• Oversee Cloudflare edge security, including WAF rule authoring, rate limiting, and bot management.
• Lead detection and response for cloud and edge incidents, developing SIEM detections and conducting post-incident reviews.
• Maintain technical security standards and support compliance with UK GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Platform Security Engineer with the ability to operate independently.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Cloudflare, Tenable, and SIEM.
• Proven experience working with frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Experience leading incident response for cloud/edge threats, including credential stuffing and IAM compromise.
• Deep knowledge of Cloudflare Enterprise, specifically WAF rules and log pipelines.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical risks for non-technical stakeholders.
