What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance systems to detect and prevent service abuse and automated threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to model emerging threat vectors and engineer scalable defenses.
• Build and maintain rule-based systems and edge-layer defenses to mitigate large-scale attacks.
• Drive architectural decisions for backend services and data pipelines integrating diverse telemetry sources.
• Ensure the long-term reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of anti-abuse infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python with experience building and optimizing scalable microservices.
• Proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of complex systems from design through maintenance.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS) for debugging security issues.
• Experience designing data collection pipelines and working with large-scale databases.
• Analytical mindset with a commitment to engineering excellence and managing technical debt.

Nice to have

• Experience with API security, bot prevention, credential stuffing countermeasures, and DDoS mitigation.
• Familiarity with Rust and architectural judgment regarding language selection.
