Location: Must be based in the US (Seattle, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Bellevue, New York, or San Francisco) and work from the office 4+ days per week.

What you will do

• Partner with stakeholders to re-envision and scale core engineering technologies, including building a suite of AI Agents.
• Drive technical excellence and governance for AI Agents across the engineering organization.
• Collaborate across teams to evaluate architectural trade-offs and deliver innovative solutions.
• Champion best practices in availability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Serve as a technical mentor to senior engineers and a thought partner to engineering leadership.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap for AI Agents and core infrastructure.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US and able to work from the office 4+ days per week.
• 9+ years of software development experience (or 8+ years with a Master's, 5+ years with a PhD).
• Proven track record of operating highly-available systems at scale.
• Experience as a technical lead or domain expert for complex technical initiatives.
• Strong background in building large-scale storage, backend, or distributed systems.
• Excellent programming, debugging, and performance analysis skills.

• Demonstrated experience as a principal-level technical leader.
• Track record of designing and building AI Agents in collaborative environments.
