Location: Must be based in or able to work from Munich, Germany (Hybrid: 2 days/week in office)

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to deployment and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain APIs, tools, and libraries used by the broader AI team.
• Lead a team of 4+ AI/ML engineers and own their technical roadmap.
• Define and enforce org-wide software and ML standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Data Engineering, and Product to ensure system reliability.
• Mentor junior team members and act as a technical reference for AI platform strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering and AI/ML systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML stacks (AWS, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Airflow).
• Proven experience in designing and scaling production-ready AI/ML infrastructure.
• Ability to lead complex technical projects and manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be able to work from the Munich office 2 days per week.
