What you will do

• Develop combat and core mechanics that support the player fantasy and creative direction.
• Own major combat design elements including character, weapons, damage models, and AI behaviors for an FPS.
• Create tight gameplay experiences through strong moment-to-moment play and meaningful player choices.
• Implement and balance gameplay systems using playtest data and tuning.
• Lead and mentor a team of game designers, setting vision, priorities, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with programmers, sound engineers, VFX artists, and animators to deliver responsive combat feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of game design experience for PC/console with at least one shipped title in a senior or lead role.
• Proven ownership of combat and gameplay systems from concept to live tuning, preferably in first-person games.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine tools and scripting for hands-on prototyping, iteration, and debugging.
• Data-driven approach with the ability to define KPIs, read telemetry, and implement design changes based on feedback.
• Experience leading other designers, reviewing work, and aligning cross-discipline teams.
• Passion for building grounded, high-lethality gameplay focused on positioning and preparation.
