TL;DR
Senior AI Governance Specialist (AI/Compliance): Shaping the governance of AI systems across their full lifecycle with an accent on risk assessment, EU AI Act compliance, and agentic AI use cases. Focus on building scalable platform enablement, policy-driven controls, and bridging the gap between technical teams and compliance stakeholders.
Location: Cologne, Germany. Remote possible, but requires occasional travel to the office for anchor days.

What you will do
- Build scalable platform enablement for AI governance, including self-service workflows, risk tiering, and policy-driven controls.
- Define governance frameworks for agentic AI, including human oversight, access management, monitoring, and auditability.
- Partner with data and AI engineers, IT compliance, and business stakeholders to embed governance into daily operations.
- Translate the EU AI Act and other applicable laws and standards into practical internal governance processes.
- Strengthen AI risk management by identifying improvement opportunities and automating audit trails.
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on experience in AI governance, AI risk management, or AI compliance.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies and governance frameworks, including the EU AI Act.
- Experience working in complex, data-driven environments.
- Ability to translate complex legal and technical topics into pragmatic guidance for diverse stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and the Azure ecosystem.
- Coding skills for interacting with Data & AI platforms at scale.
- Practical experience in governing AI agents.
