What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain DBMS and related software, focusing on automating routine deployment tasks.
• Monitor and optimize database performance using New Relic and AWS Cloudwatch to implement automated alerting and reporting.
• Develop and automate comprehensive backup and recovery plans for disaster recovery scenarios.
• Manage database security, access control, and automated auditing to ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with IT staff to replace legacy manual workflows with streamlined, automated database solutions.
• Perform database tuning and implement scheduled autonomous tasks for data purging and defragmentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Ability to work onsite at the i-City office and maintain standby availability for prolonged hours.
• 1–3 years of experience in database administration with a strong focus on process automation.
• Foundational knowledge of DBMS such as MariaDB, MySQL, SQL Server, Redshift, Timestream, Cassandra, Flink, Kafka, or Redis.
• Experience with database monitoring tools like New Relic or AWS Cloudwatch.
• Strong understanding of database security, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
