Location: Hybrid (Must be based in Vancouver, Canada; 2-3 days onsite)

Salary: C$100,300 – C$128,300 per year

What you will do

• Set up and run complex cloth, hair, rigid body, crowd, and muscle simulations in Houdini and proprietary tools.
• Perform creature rigging and enveloping for hero and background creatures, vehicles, and props in Maya.
• Troubleshoot creature CFX and pipeline issues to ensure efficient production workflows.
• Develop script utilities, tools, and plug-ins using Python or VEX in Maya.
• Mentor entry-level artists and contribute to department meetings and reviews.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in simulation shotwork.
• Expertise with Houdini and proficiency with Linux.
• Experience in corrective sculpting, anatomy, and enveloping.
• Proficiency in Python or VEX scripting.
• Must be based in Vancouver, Canada for the required hybrid onsite attendance.
• Submission of a demo reel and shot breakdown is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with Massive or Houdini crowd software.
• Knowledge of C++.
• Basic proficiency in Modeling, Texture, TD, or Animation.
