What you will do

• Create high-quality CG animations for primary and secondary characters that align with creative direction.
• Execute complex shots featuring masterful character personalities and environment interactions.
• Collaborate closely with directors and supervisors to iterate based on feedback.
• Participate actively in dailies to share ideas and develop creative solutions.
• Provide mentorship and troubleshooting guidance to junior artists.
• Manage time and resources to hit deadlines while respecting technical pipeline constraints.

Requirements

• 3+ years of TV or Film production experience as an animator with a strong reel.
• High proficiency in Maya.
• Mastery of core animation principles, heavy body mechanics, and nuanced acting.
• Legally eligible to work in British Columbia.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Traditional animation experience.
• Life drawing experience with strong knowledge of human anatomy, form, and balance.
