Salary: CAD $43.00–$70.00 per hour

What you will do

• Solve a diverse variety of VFX problems in close partnership with other departments.
• Contribute to the development of FX-driven VFX pipelines and workflows.
• Execute production-level water simulations and complex large-scale destruction.
• Develop early visual looks for magical and abstract FX in production.
• Collaborate with a team of over 100 leading FX TDs to maintain high quality standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an FX artist on feature films.
• Generalist knowledge of Houdini, specifically Flip, Pyro, and RBD.
• Proficiency in Linux.
• Experience running production-grade simulations.
• Must be able to work onsite in Vancouver, Canada.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.

Nice to have

• Experience running plant simulations using Vellum or custom solvers.
