Platform Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Platform Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing cloud-native infrastructure for automated lending and agentic OS with an accent on Kubernetes, AWS, and GitOps. Focus on automating platform toil, maintaining shared CI/CD tooling, and integrating agentic coding tools into the development lifecycle.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Amsterdam for 3 days per week (Hybrid)

Salary: €6,540–€7,000 per month

What you will do

• Operate and extend the AWS/EKS platform, including Istio, Flux, and KEDA.
• Develop and maintain an in-house cloud infrastructure operator for declarative resource provisioning.
• Build shared CI/CD templates to reduce friction for engineering teams.
• Ensure high reliability and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo.
• Automate repetitive tasks and integrate agentic AI tools into the platform workflow.
• Solve complex platform problems while balancing short- and long-term trade-offs.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in platform, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Proven ability to run Kubernetes in production with minimal guidance.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm) and GitOps (Flux or Argo CD).
• Must be based in or able to commute to Amsterdam for 3 days per week.
• Genuine interest in AI-native development and agentic coding tools.
• Security- and reliability-first mindset with experience in observability and incident management.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM infrastructure (vector stores, RAG, LLM observability, MCP, Bedrock/OpenAI).
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
