What you will do

• Supervise and mentor junior data engineers, guiding project planning and code reviews.
• Design and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture for complex datasets.
• Extend the machine learning platform by creating tools that interface with cloud services.
• Build infrastructure for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, Python, and AWS.
• Develop analytics tools to provide actionable insights into business performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create integrated data solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases like Postgres and MySQL.
• Proficiency in Python and object-oriented design.
• Experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, RDS, Redshift, Glue, and S3.
• Proven history of building data pipelines and architectures from raw data.
• Experience managing junior engineers and leading project execution.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and machine learning model building.
• Experience with RestAPI systems, Flask, and state machines.
• Knowledge of continuous integration in a data science context.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
