What you will do

• Build core backend systems for the agent platform, including orchestration, tool execution, and observability.
• Design scalable APIs for AI agents to retrieve context and coordinate multi-step workflows.
• Develop the agent memory layer for conversation context, retrieval, and long-term management.
• Create infrastructure to monitor, debug, and improve agent behavior through feedback loops.
• Translate complex product needs into clear backend architectures and data models.
• Contribute to long-term technical strategy and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States or the United Kingdom.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with reliable production systems.
• Expertise in designing distributed systems for complex workflows and asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with AI, LLM, or agentic systems including tool use and model orchestration.
• Strong focus on production quality, observability, and system reliability.
• Experience collaborating on full-stack or product-facing experiences.

Nice to have

• Deeper AI/ML experience with LLM evaluation and embeddings.
• Experience with knowledge graphs and relationship-aware retrieval systems.
