Tech Lead, Video Conferencing & Screen Sharing

Location: Remote within Europe, or hybrid from the Copenhagen office

What you will do

• Lead the technical direction and people development of a four-engineer team.
• Improve authenticated meeting joining across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Webex.
• Own the browser screen-sharing flow and reduce friction from short code entry to displaying content on the room screen.
• Stabilize Miracast and AirPlay and improve real-time quality across variable network conditions.
• Align the experience across hirify.global 3, Virtual hirify.global, browser, desktop, and mobile applications.
• Advance AI-assisted development workflows, tooling, and practices across the team.

Requirements

• Experience owning a team’s technical direction, including architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical standards.
• Experience growing engineers, running 1:1s, hiring, and combining technical leadership with people leadership.
• Strong hands-on background with real-time media, WebRTC, streaming, audio, and video over networks.
• Ability to work across browser, desktop, and mobile environments, with deep expertise in at least one area such as media pipelines, native protocols, or cross-platform clients.
• Experience integrating with external platforms, operating-system media APIs, and systems with inconsistent platform behavior.
• Daily practical use of AI for coding, debugging, or prototyping, with a clear view of where it improves development.
