Senior Java IoT Developer (RFID)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work with flexible working hours

hirify.global develops precision technology components and subsystems for healthcare and advanced manufacturing; Keonn, part of hirify.global, produces RFID hardware and software for retail, healthcare, libraries, industry, and logistics.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java applications for IoT devices, RFID readers, and related systems.
• Implement new features and functionality for RFID reader products.
• Lead the Java development team and participate in code reviews.
• Debug embedded software issues and optimize code performance and memory usage.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on hardware-software integration.
• Create technical documentation and support firmware release testing and validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Experience with Git and agile development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Fluent English required.
• Must be an EU resident or hold an EU work permit.

Nice to have

• Embedded Java programming experience.
• Experience with real-time systems and multithreading.
• Knowledge of network programming and communication protocols.
• Familiarity with RFID technology and RF systems.
• Spanish language skills.
