What you will do

• Architect and build the Snowflake platform, including ingestion, transformation, and curated data products.
• Establish and maintain data tagging, classification, and cataloguing for discoverability and sensitivity.
• Own platform governance, including ownership, stewardship, lineage, and cross-border data residency.
• Implement data quality controls, automated testing, and monitoring for data consumers.
• Design partitioning, clustering, and archival strategies to manage high-volume data costs and performance.
• Lead and quality-assure work from strategic delivery partners, enforcing engineering standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, including end-to-end platform delivery.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Snowflake, including warehouse sizing, RBAC, Snowpipe, and dbt.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Azure, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), and IaC (Terraform/Bicep).
• Proven track record in data modelling and establishing data governance frameworks.
• Must be based in New York

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex AI or building AI and analytics use cases.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code or Claude Cowork.
