What you will do

• Ensure reliability, performance, and availability of the database platform to support business goals.
• Handle database service, support, and physical database design and implementation.
• Resolve incidents, manage high-severity bridges, and validate database-related events and alerts.
• Implement database monitoring configurations and conduct periodic capacity planning.
• Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Maintain technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle (Single instance and RAC cluster), Postgres, and MySQL.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and database architecture.
• Experience with Dataguard and other high-availability and replication setups.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies (GCP, Azure, AWS) and backup and recovery processes.
• Demonstrated scripting and automation skills using Shell and Python.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as OEM, Datadog, and cloud-native solutions.

Nice to have

• Good understanding and practice of ITIL standards, processes, and concepts.
