What you will do
- Lead and manage a team of UI Engineers, providing mentorship and coaching to maintain a high-performing team.
- Own the technical quality, delivery, and maintenance of core UI tools and engine systems.
- Collaborate with UX, UI Art, and UI Tech Design to develop new tools and features meeting UI needs.
- Develop long-term strategy for Apex UI tech in collaboration with XD Tech Leadership.
- Coordinate with production to scope work and align roadmaps with stakeholders.
- Review code submissions to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- 1+ years of experience managing people.
- Proficiency in C++ and one or more scripting languages.
- Experience shipping a AAA game or multiple Live Ops releases.
- Experience developing UI features specifically for AAA multiplayer FPS games.
- Knowledge of Apex Legends and the Battle Royale competitive landscape.
