What you will do

• Research, write, and produce investigative stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Develop and maintain a network of sources to generate enterprise investigative leads.
• Analyze records and synthesize complex data into strong story pitches.
• Manage public records requests (FOIA) and ensure legal compliance.
• Collaborate with digital teams to create multiplatform content including podcasts and interactive elements.
• Coordinate field production and conduct interviews for investigative shoots.

Requirements

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Chicago, IL.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Relevant experience in television news production.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong understanding of journalistic ethics and libel laws.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3 years of experience in consumer investigative newsgathering.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Experience with non-linear editing and photojournalism.
• Knowledge of undercover investigation techniques.
