Salary: $207,000 – $275,000

What you will do

• Define the company-wide strategy for data modeling, semantic layers, enterprise metrics, and reusable data products.
• Set architectural standards for the lakehouse, including data organization, schemas, metadata, and governance.
• Design scalable frameworks for data quality, lineage, observability, and policy enforcement.
• Lead the architecture of complex, cross-domain data systems spanning operational, financial, and infrastructure data.
• Establish durable data contracts and reusable engineering patterns across multiple teams.
• Mentor senior engineers to raise the quality of system design and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in enterprise analytical modeling (Dimensional, Data Vault, semantic modeling).
• Experience designing large-scale lakehouse/streamhouse architectures (Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi, or Paimon).
• Advanced knowledge of distributed OLAP and processing systems (StarRocks, ClickHouse, Trino, Spark, Flink, or Kafka).
• Expert-level SQL and strong programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, or Rust.
• Must be a U.S. person or eligible to access export controlled information without required authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with compliance programs such as SOX, GDPR, MNPI, and PII controls.
• Experience operating event-driven architectures using Kafka, AutoMQ, or Pulsar.
• Experience running data-intensive workloads on Kubernetes.
• Background in high-growth cloud or distributed-systems organizations.
