What you will do

• Lead the architectural evolution of core storage engine components and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Drive cross-organizational initiatives to build industry-leading observability solutions.
• Untangle system complexity and establish clean coding standards across the platform.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and technical advisor to the wider engineering organization.
• Collaborate with a global community to triage and resolve complex issues and pull requests.
• Write idiomatic modern Java to maintain and improve the hirify.globalsearch core.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Proven track record of designing high-performance, scalable database or search engine technologies.
• Strong core Java skills with deep understanding of concurrency primitives.
• Experience implementing novel techniques for indexing, storing, and querying time-series or log data.
• Ability to drive technical initiatives and decisions autonomously in a distributed team.
• Experience leveraging AI to accelerate development and debug complex systems.

Nice to have

• Prior experience building with hirify.globalsearch.
• Background in open source project contributions.
• Experience with database, OS, or cloud service development.
