What you will do

• Build and operate core pieces of the next-generation Serverless hirify.globalsearch offering.
• Improve components supporting concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines.
• Maintain cluster coordination systems to ensure high performance and system safety.
• Push the limits of hirify.globalsearch scalability regarding shards, nodes, and data volume.
• Investigate and resolve complex performance or concurrency issues end-to-end.
• Collaborate with support engineers to address high-priority technical challenges.

Requirements

• Must be based in Norway
• Deep background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
• Strong proficiency in core Java, data structures, and concurrency constructs.
• Proven ability to build and debug complex, highly distributed systems.
• Experience using AI to accelerate development and optimize code.
• Ability to own projects from technical design to final implementation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lucene and search analytics.
• Knowledge of asynchronous event-driven network frameworks like Netty.
