Director, Commercial Compliance (Finance)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid approach with office attendance around four days a week

What you will do

• Co-manage the agency client audit program for a portfolio of key clients, including audit coordination, briefings, scopes, NDAs, certifications, settlements, and remedial plans.
• Manage client notifications, declarations, audit results, and correction of noncompliance issues in coordination with markets, auditors, and third-party audit firms.
• Interpret and apply contractual commitments, charging methodologies, commercial terms, and reporting requirements across income types and affiliate entities.
• Support governance for new commercial models, contract onboarding, commercial risk assessments, and countermeasures.
• Maintain compliance schedules, commercial guidance, control processes, and policy implementation across UK, EMEA, and global commercial teams.
• Lead and develop a small team while contributing to training, best-practice programs, commercial analysis, and agency commercial projects.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant, auditor, or legally qualified professional with commercial, compliance, or financial experience.
• Knowledge of agency concepts, including agency benefits, disclosed and undisclosed buying models, vendor contracts, and remuneration models.
• Extensive financial and audit best-practice experience, with strong client compliance audit negotiation experience.
• Ability to interpret complex commercial contracts, assess risk, negotiate outcomes, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team, plus advanced Excel skills.
