What you will do

• Participate in task breakdown, estimation, design, implementation, and maintenance of custody systems.
• Write, review, test, and document code following engineering and team standards.
• Solve complex, ambiguous problems by formulating elegant and practical solutions.
• Review other developers’ code to ensure consistency, reduce errors, and share context.
• Drive independent delivery and lead medium-to-large cross-functional projects with end-to-end ownership and little oversight.
• Promote a deterministic testing culture and minimize technical debt.

Requirements

• Real-world experience building complex distributed systems.
• Strong computer science fundamentals (concurrency, algorithms, data structures); formal CS degree not required.
• Experience building resilient services that handle varying volumes without manual intervention.
• Strong focus on code quality and test infrastructure.
• Ability to break down large projects, estimate time/scope, analyze trade-offs, and communicate priorities.
• Security policy requires in-person onboarding for all new hires (no exceptions).

Nice to have

• Experience with applied cryptography.
• GraphQL API design and implementation experience.
• gRPC API design and implementation experience.
• Background in the finance industry.
