Fullstack Engineer (Live & Game)

Location: Primary: Bay Area (San Francisco/Peninsula). Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will do

• Develop and ship live and game features across the full stack using AI coding tools to maintain high delivery velocity.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features from initial development through deployment and production monitoring.
• Implement real-time features such as video playback, messaging, and leaderboards that remain performant under extreme load.
• Optimize the system to handle unpredictable traffic spikes and synchronized connection storms.
• Collaborate within a small, fast-moving team to maintain high engineering standards and continuous iteration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building consumer-facing products across the frontend and backend.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, Go, Java, Rust) and one frontend framework.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to the Bay Area (San Francisco/Peninsula).
• Strong experience using AI coding agents daily to accelerate development.
• Genuine interest or experience in live streaming, gaming, or real-time systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with live streaming protocols such as HLS or RTMP.
• Knowledge of real-time systems involving websockets or gaming backend services.
• Prior experience working at a consumer-scale company.
