What you will do

• Prepare and review federal and state partnership tax returns (Form 1065 and related schedules).
• Manage the end-to-end K-1 production, quality review, and delivery to limited partners.
• Coordinate with fund accountants and external CPAs to resolve source data discrepancies.
• Respond to tax notices and serve as the internal expert on fund-level tax matters.
• Track filing deadlines across a portfolio of funds to ensure timely completion.
• Identify and escalate technical issues regarding allocations, Section 704(b), and carried interest treatment.

Requirements

• Active CPA license.
• 5+ years of experience in partnership tax, specifically within venture capital, private equity, or fund of funds.
• Deep fluency with Form 1065, Schedule K-1, and state composite/withholding filing requirements.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting concepts, including capital accounts and waterfall mechanics.
• Proficiency with tax software such as UltraTax or CCH Axcess.
• Must be qualified to manage US-specific partnership tax compliance.
