Location: Must be based in Houston, Texas. This role follows a hybrid workplace model requiring at least four days per week in the office.

What you will do
- Serve as a technical escalation point for complex fund accounting matters including NAV exceptions and pricing issues.
- Apply independent judgment to assess accounting, operational, and control issues in accordance with GAAP and regulatory guidance.
- Drive execution of oversight tools to ensure strong outcomes at third-party administrators.
- Advise on accounting considerations for complex investment exposures such as derivatives and private investments.
- Lead process enhancement initiatives through automation, data analytics, and the institutionalization of the ABOR data platform.
- Support strategic initiatives including fund launches, reorganizations, and operating model changes.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, fund oversight, or assurance.
- Strong technical expertise in NAV calculation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated experience supporting audits, SOX controls, and regulatory examinations.
- Advanced proficiency with fund accounting systems, data tools, and reporting platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Ability to influence outcomes and coach professionals without direct formal line management responsibility.
