Lead Software Engineer (FinTech)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across software design, development, testing, and delivery.
• Balance active coding in C#, Angular, and APL with leadership of automation initiatives.
• Define team-level test architecture, quality strategy, coverage metrics, and quality KPIs.
• Drive automation-first practices, improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering tools, and conduct root cause analysis for complex defects.
• Mentor engineers in development, automation, and testing, and represent the combined QA and development approach in technical forums.
• Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, architects, and colleagues across Poland, Ukraine, Denmark, and Germany.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with combined development and QA responsibilities.
• Expertise in .NET and C#, with working knowledge of Angular and readiness to learn APL.
• Extensive experience with E2E, API, and integration test automation, test strategy, and enterprise-scale application architecture.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and on-premise infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, CI/CD, Git, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, SQL, software architecture, design patterns, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor, motivate, and guide engineers toward technical excellence.
• Proficient English communication skills at Upper-Intermediate level or higher, written and spoken; a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Background in FinTech, capital markets, or financial domains such as derivatives.
