What you will do
- Design and maintain backend microservices, including service boundaries, communication patterns, and reliability.
- Implement event-driven architecture using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus.
- Build and evolve APIs (REST/gRPC) with backward compatibility and versioning strategies.
- Optimize data and search performance using SQL Server (indexing, execution plans, statistics), Redis caching strategies, and Elasticsearch search/aggregation tuning.
- Own production operations by leading incident response, running post-mortems, and driving operational improvements.
- Improve delivery and observability with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and OpenTelemetry-based logging/tracing/monitoring.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend software development experience and 3+ years in a senior/equivalent role.
- Expert-level proficiency in .NET 8+ and C# 12+ (async/await, LINQ, performance tuning, reflection).
- Strong experience with Dapper and/or EF Core, including ORM trade-offs and performance tuning.
- Advanced SQL Server skills, including query tuning, indexing, execution plans, and statistics; solid understanding of ACID, isolation levels, deadlocks, sharding, and partitioning.
- Experience designing microservices and leading architecture discussions without formal authority.
- Experience with testing automation across multiple testing layers and strong SOLID/design-pattern knowledge.
