AI Architect

Location: Singapore (City), Singapore; on site. This is a 3-year fixed-term contract for placement in Singapore and is open only to Singapore citizens or permanent residents.

What you will do

• Design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AI architectures for APAC deployments and the AI-enabled Marine Ground Digital Twin Platform.
• Define technical standards, design patterns, architectural guardrails, solution designs, data flows, integration maps, and technical roadmaps.
• Evaluate build, buy, and integration options, including platforms and vendors.
• Architect Azure, AWS, multi-cloud, and hybrid solutions while addressing data sovereignty, reliability, reproducibility, access control, operational support, and cloud costs.
• Govern AI and machine learning environments, including model selection, fine-tuning, RAG architectures, MLOps, LLMOps, monitoring, evaluation, and retraining triggers.
• Embed encryption, access controls, audit logging, security governance, and technical risk mitigation into AI architectures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Data/AI, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in solution, software, data, or enterprise architecture.
• Experience using data platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, or data warehouses to discover, analyse, and prepare governed datasets for advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI use cases.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data access, analysis, and preparation.
• Ability to work with large datasets, apply data quality and governance standards, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Understanding of security-by-design, privacy-by-design, data governance, and access control.

Nice to have

• Understanding of AI solution patterns, including RAG, model integration, agentic workflows, and secure enterprise deployment.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure data services, or comparable lakehouse and data platforms.
• Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, model lifecycle management, or AI evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with API design, DevOps, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, fine-tuning, or generative AI evaluation.
• Experience with Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or related Microsoft AI services.
• Relevant Azure, AI, Databricks, or AWS certifications.
• 2+ years of management experience providing technical leadership in collaborative or agile delivery environments.
• Experience guiding team members on solution design, engineering standards, maintainability, and delivery quality.
• Experience sponsoring AI and IT initiatives, data-driven platforms, IT transformation, and automation at scale.
• Strong business acumen, financial management, risk governance, and experience operating in APAC multicultural environments.
