What you will do

• Identify and prioritize high-impact AI applications within life sciences research.
• Convert promising scientific ideas into well-scoped projects and drive them to results with ownership.
• Translate ambiguous scientific questions into structured, testable plans with clear milestones.
• Use Claude and Claude Science tools hands-on to explore hypotheses and analyze research.
• Collaborate across research, product, and go-to-market teams to shape the overall domain strategy.
• Act as a trusted scientific voice for both technical and business audiences.

Requirements

• Strong scientific and operating background with experience taking ideas from concept to results in a company setting.
• Professional experience in a multidisciplinary role at a high-growth biotech company or science-focused VC firm.
• Previous experience as a founder or founding team member of a biotechnology startup.
• Ability to move fluidly between scientific depth and business literacy.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in San Francisco (minimum 25% office presence).
