Systems Security Engineer (Embedded)

TL;DR

Systems Security Engineer (Embedded/DoD): Integrating secure products into forward-deployed DoD tactical systems such as radars and missile defense platforms with an accent on hardware and software security at the lowest levels. What you will do

• Integrate security products into architectures for tactical DoD systems including radars, missile defense, and C4ISR equipment.
• Develop security solutions that operate within SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) limitations and real-time requirements.
• Create critical security artifacts such as Attack Trees, Key Management Plans, and System Security Plans.
• Map security requirements across DoD frameworks including RMF, Anti-Tamper, Cyber Survivability, and Zero Trust.
• Interface with platform security personnel and accreditation authorities to support the authorization process.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Hands-on security or software integration experience with tactical/embedded DoD systems (e.g., avionics, EW, C4ISR).
• Proven experience in security architecture design for resource-constrained and real-time systems.
• Deep knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements and frameworks (RMF, Anti-Tamper, Zero Trust).
• Ability to work on-platform in test labs or operational environments.
• Active Secret or TS government security clearance strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with TPM and Secure Boot technology implementation.
• Familiarity with Linux, Windows internals in embedded contexts, or Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Security testing expertise (penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, fuzzing) for embedded systems.
• Experience with security requirements for kernel or driver software.
