Systems Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Integrate commercial security products into security architectures for forward-deployed DoD tactical systems.
• Design security solutions for radars, missile defense platforms, C4ISR systems, avionics, electronic warfare, and tactical communication systems.
• Develop Attack Trees, Key Management Plans, System Security Plans, and other operational security artifacts.
• Map requirements across RMF, NIST 800-53, Anti-Tamper, Cyber Survivability, and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Work with platform security personnel and accreditation authorities to support authorization processes.
• Perform hands-on security engineering with hardware and software in test labs and operational environments.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience securing or integrating tactical or embedded DoD systems.
• Experience designing security architectures for resource-constrained and real-time systems, including hardware security considerations.
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, operational security, cryptographic implementations, and key management.
• Experience developing security artifacts and translating requirements into implementable technical solutions.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for technical teams and government stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret government security clearance are required; active Secret or TS clearance is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• TPM and Secure Boot implementation experience.
• Knowledge of Linux or Windows internals and RTOS security in embedded or tactical contexts.
• Embedded-system penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, static or dynamic analysis, and fuzzing experience.
• Experience securing embedded systems, kernel software, or driver software.
