What you will do

• Lead the expansion of hirify.global's IP into manga and anime formats specifically for the Japanese market.
• Define Duo's Japanese character profile, including tone of voice, personality details, and backstory.
• Write original plots and lead story development for creative projects.
• Scout and brief manga artists and illustrators to ensure visual alignment with the brand.
• Manage relationships with publishers, editors, and anime production studios, including contracts and budgets.
• Pitch concepts to TV networks to secure broadcast slots, targeting formats like morning shows.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in manga editing or directing at a publisher, editorial production company, or IP firm.
• Proven ability to write original plots and develop stories independently.
• Established network of relationships with Japanese publishers, manga artists, and writers.
• Working knowledge of anime production, including studio contracts and budget management.
• Experience pitching concepts to major TV networks for broadcast slots.
• Business-level English for collaboration with the global team.

Nice to have

• Experience taking a manga property through to a full anime adaptation.
• Familiarity with social-native, vertical, and short-form content formats.
• Background in brand licensing, merchandise, or IP business development.
• Experience with inbound or outbound IP localization.
