What you will do

• Lead the team responsible for effective controls related to securities operational accounting.
• Design and execute processes to ensure the integrity of accounting data from the company's securities system.
• Partner with Securities Controllership, Investment Operations, Treasury, and Financial Reporting teams.
• Oversee external audits and manage UAT testing for key external vendor system upgrades.
• Own the calculation and recording of known P&L exposures to ensure accurate investment income reporting.
• Create scalable structures and foster a culture of development and growth within the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in investment accounting, controllership, or financial reporting within insurance, banking, or financial services.
• Demonstrated expertise in U.S. GAAP investment accounting and financial reporting.
• Proven experience designing and enhancing internal controls and governance frameworks in regulated environments.
• Experience supporting large and complex investment portfolios.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Location: Must be based in Boston, MA.
