TL;DR
Staff RF Signal Processing Engineer (Defense): Developing and refining advanced digital signal processing algorithms for distributed spectrum sensing systems with an accent on radar-to-sensing transformation. Focus on implementing signal processing software, integrating with SDR hardware, and executing field demonstrations for electromagnetic warfare applications.
Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Hawthorne, CA or Washington, D.C. (On-site 3-5 days/week)
Salary: $180,000 - $230,000

What you will do
- Develop and implement advanced DSP algorithms to detect, identify, and track RF signals.
- Integrate signal processing software with RF/SDR hardware and host platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development and Production.
- Execute field demonstrations of sensing technology.
- Document technical details and present findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant development experience.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Experience with RF sensing systems and software defined radios (SDR).
- Ability to work on-site 3-5 days per week in Hawthorne, CA or Washington, D.C.
Nice to have
- M.S. degree in a relevant technical field.
- Current U.S. security clearance.
- Expertise in cyclostationary signal processing and machine learning for signal classification.
- Experience with RFSOC hardware and tactical applications.
- Background in DoD or military environments.
