Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop hirify.global’s front-end library, React Native mobile application, new features, and component library.
• Contribute to the migration from ExtJS to React.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Technical Leads to design and deliver feature solutions.
• Create technical documentation, diagrams, automated tests, and appropriate test coverage.
• Build accessible, efficient, scalable interfaces and help prevent, investigate, and remediate production incidents.
• Lead code reviews, pair programming, technical workshops, mentoring, and developer-experience improvements.

Requirements

• Extensive JavaScript and TypeScript experience, including strong knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals.
• Experience leading projects with React, Angular, Vue, or similar modern frameworks.
• Strong HTML, CSS, web accessibility, automated testing, and software engineering principles knowledge.
• Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack and Babel, Docker, containerisation, GitHub Actions, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with a backend language or framework such as PHP or Symfony.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required. Leadership, collaboration, mentoring, and proactive problem-solving skills are also expected.

Nice to have

• React Native or other mobile application development experience.
• Experience with enterprise solutions or developing a front-end framework or platform.
• PHP, relational or NoSQL database experience.
• Familiarity with Refactoring, Clean Code, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development.
