Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: Hybrid in London, UK; occasional on-site work with government clients may be required. Eligibility for UK Developed Vetting (DV) may be necessary.

What you will do

• Build client-facing frontend products that visualise insights generated by data scientists.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, designers, and delivery teams.
• Plan, prioritise, coordinate, and communicate frontend features with internal and external stakeholders.
• Set up and maintain development and deployment infrastructure for the frontend team.
• Define frontend engineering standards and create reusable component libraries.
• Train, mentor, and onboard frontend engineers while serving as the frontend technical authority.

Requirements

• Experience building scalable, maintainable, and well-tested web applications with React.
• Strong proficiency in ES6 JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript or another typed language.
• Experience with data visualisation techniques and tools such as D3.
• Exposure to cloud deployment using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong focus on technical excellence, standards, and mentoring.

• Pair programming interview and system design interview, each lasting 90 minutes.
