Senior Data Engineer (GCP): Evolving internal self-serve data infrastructure and optimizing data flows for cross-functional data products with an accent on cloud-based architecture and data modeling. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid: minimum 2 days per week in office).

What you will do

• Continuously evolve self-service data infrastructure for business data products.
• Manage and support extraction and transformation tools to enable data product owners.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure to elevate data security and business value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Finance, Marketing, Product, and Sales.
• Apply best practices for data governance, documentation, and discoverability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering operations with a focus on data modeling.
• Strong experience building cloud-based data infrastructures in GCP using Terraform.
• In-depth knowledge of BigQuery and storage technologies.
• Proficiency with Apache Airflow, ETL scheduling, Python, and SQL (dbt).
• Familiarity with containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• English: C1 proficiency required for technical and business communication.

Nice to have

• Interest in applying AI/LLM tooling to data engineering workflows.
• Prior experience with the hirify.global platform.
