What you will do

• Serve as the Single Threaded Leader for the transaction rail, aligning product strategy with technical execution.
• Optimize end-to-end value chain handoffs between connectivity, orchestration, core transactions, money operations, and risk domains.
• Define platform features that enable low-to-no-code client onboarding and provider certification.
• Lead cross-functional engineering pods to maintain high stability and automated quality assurance.
• Operationalize a "You Build It, You Run It" culture, ensuring resilient, multi-tenant, and observable system design.
• Prioritize the roadmap using the RICE framework to balance architectural integrity with market needs.

Requirements

• Must be based in Europe
• Deep technical foundation in cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and event-driven platforms.
• Proven experience building foundational platform capabilities or complex distributed systems in payments or risk infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency with APIs, gRPC, REST, and modern languages like Kotlin or Go.
• Track record of driving delivery velocity and optimizing DORA metrics across interdependent domains.
• Ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of payment provider integration patterns, smart routing, and transaction state machines.
• Experience with settlement, reconciliation, and PCI-scoped fraud or vaulting systems.
