Development Intern (Nonprofit)

What you will do

• Create monthly newsletter stories and gather content ideas for storytelling efforts.
• Develop and publish social media content for Instagram and Facebook to engage audiences.
• Coordinate photography shoots to support year-end appeal communications.
• Manage communications with in-kind donors, including furniture donations and service projects.
• Process donor inquiries and ensure timely acknowledgments of contributions.
• Support donor engagement events and community drives, such as the Winter Clothing Drive.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, or a recent graduate.
• Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UT.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Must pass a required background check.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently on project assignments.

Nice to have

• Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or business.
• Previous experience in community engagement or donations management within the nonprofit industry.
• Graphic design skills and proficiency in Photoshop or photography.
• Proficiency in a refugee language.
• Access to a personal vehicle for transporting donated items.
