What you will do
- Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and certification standards including ARP4754A, DO-178, and DO-254.
- Create and peer-review safety assessment documentation such as FHA, FTA, FMEA, and SSA.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot and provide support for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft or aerospace network architecture, avionics, or complex embedded networking systems.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong understanding of the product development life cycle and requirements management.
- Experience with environmental qualification processes and product certification.
Nice to have
- Direct experience with ARP4754A, DO-178, and DO-254 standards.
- Proven track record in Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
