Salary: $105,600 - $158,400

What you will do

• Develop and utilize structural finite-element modeling tools for the design and evaluation of neurovascular devices.
• Apply general mechanical design and solid mechanics fundamentals to drive product development.
• Collaborate with front-end R&D and cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.
• Utilize computational modeling and simulation to develop new test methods and characterize device performance.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal assessments and regulatory agency submissions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members and aid in the generation of intellectual property.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience using Abaqus Implicit and Explicit solvers for biomedical engineering problems.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire (no sponsorship provided for this level).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Irvine, California, for at least 4 days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD modeling in SolidWorks.
• Coding proficiency in Python and Matlab.
• Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Mechanics.
• Experience running simulations on high-performance computing clusters.
• Knowledge of verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification as per ASME V&V 10, 20, and 40.
