What you will do

• Lead the technical design and execution of full-stack web applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and efficient serverless solutions on AWS.
• Drive the adoption and fluency of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) within the engineering team.
• Act as the primary technical partner to product managers to inform scope, sequencing, and technical tradeoffs.
• Mentor engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high coding standards and a culture of continuous learning.
• Optimize APIs, databases, and user interfaces to ensure minimal downtime and high performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience focusing on full-stack development.
• Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks (SvelteKit preferred; React, Vue, or Angular).
• Strong backend proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database systems and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Fluency with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) as a standard daily practice.
• Must be based in San Bruno, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with SvelteKit (deployed on Vercel), React Native, and AWS Lambda with CDK/Middy.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK).
• Experience working at a hardware company, specifically collaborating with firmware teams.
• Prior people-management experience or a clear readiness to grow into a management role.
