Head of Data & AI

Location: Fully remote, open to candidates based in the United States and Canada; a few in-person offsites throughout the year

What you will do

• Own the data platform, including the warehouse, streaming and batch ingestion, semantic layer, and BI infrastructure.
• Define data governance, access management, quality standards, and a trustworthy gold data layer.
• Build and ship forecasting, prediction, optimization, matching, allocation, and reliability models for delivery intelligence.
• Develop feature pipelines, training, serving, evaluation, drift monitoring, and continuous learning loops.
• Drive AI agent initiatives into production in partnership with product and engineering.
• Lead and grow the data and ML team while partnering with engineering, product, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data and ML, including 2+ years in a leadership or staff-level role owning a data or ML platform.
• Hands-on experience with architecture, modeling, code review, and team leadership.
• Experience designing modern data warehouses, streaming and batch ingestion, dbt or equivalent, performance and cost optimization, and governance.
• Experience shipping production machine-learning models and the surrounding MLOps systems, including feature pipelines, serving, and monitoring.
• Experience building data and ML products that serve product and business goals.
• Strong stakeholder management and experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up where the platform was built from the ground up.
