What you will do

• Own the full data platform, including the warehouse, streaming/batch ingestion, semantic layer, and BI infrastructure.
• Define and enforce data governance, quality standards, and a trustworthy "gold" data layer.
• Build and ship production models for forecasting, prediction, optimization, and reliability scoring to drive real-time decisions.
• Stand up MLOps systems, including feature pipelines, training, serving, evaluation, and drift monitoring.
• Manage and grow the data and ML team by hiring data engineers, analytics engineers, and data scientists.
• Partner with product and AI leadership to drive the AI agent initiative into production.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data/ML, with 2+ years in a leadership or staff-level role owning a data or ML platform.
• Expertise in modern data warehouse design (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and dbt or equivalent.
• Proven experience building and shipping production ML models with measurable business impact.
• Strong skills in MLOps, specifically feature pipelines, model serving, and monitoring.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.
• Experience at a high-growth startup or scale-up where the platform was built from scratch.
