Location: Remote or hybrid across SF, NY, London, or Berlin hubs. If within commuting distance of these offices, in-office anchor days (Mon, Tue, Fri) are required.

Salary: $208,000 – $312,000 (San Francisco base range; adjusted by location).

What you will do

• Define the visual language for Vercel.com, Next.js.org, and major product launches.
• Create memorable brand moments through hero animations, launch films, and event environments.
• Own the creative vision from concept to production, collaborating closely with design engineers.
• Set the craft bar for typography, motion, and interaction details across the brand.
• Influence the shared design system and patterns to ensure consistency and quality.
• Work fluidly across web, motion, illustration, 3D, and identity surfaces.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped web work.
• Exceptional visual design instincts and a systems-minded approach to component design.
• Hands-on expertise in motion, 3D, illustration, or environmental design.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under real-world deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineers and a deep understanding of web as a medium.
• Must be based in or near SF, NY, London, or Berlin for hybrid work, or fully remote if outside commuting distance.

Nice to have

• Ability to prototype or bring ideas to life using React, Tailwind, or Next.js.
• Experience contributing to design systems at scale.
• Familiarity with developer-focused, B2B, or SaaS products.
