What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software for quantum processor calibration, hardware interfaces, and operational infrastructure.
• Contribute to the full software lifecycle from requirements definition to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with scientists and hardware engineers to deliver cross-team initiatives.
• Mentor junior developers through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the availability and performance of QPU solvers on the Leap cloud platform.
• Improve software architecture, reliability, and performance through optimization and testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant software development experience designing complex systems.
• Expertise in compiled programming languages and multithreaded environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing and implementing software interfaces to hardware systems.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and Git workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.

Nice to have

• Experience with Common Lisp, Scheme, Clojure, or Scala.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and building AI-powered solutions.
• Background in quantum computing, embedded systems, or high-performance computing.
