What you will do

• Act as the primary point of contact for complex accounting queries and provide expert technical advice.
• Lead the dialogue with external auditors regarding complex accounting judgements and estimates.
• Develop and maintain Group accounting policies to ensure consistency across all subsidiaries.
• Assess the accounting implications of new products and non-standard transactions prior to launch.
• Translate complex technical standards into actionable guidance for non-finance stakeholders.
• Oversee the technical review of financial statements for year-end and half-year reporting.

Requirements

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong, hands-on knowledge of UK-IAS and experience in technical accounting or Big 4 advisory.
• Proven ability to act as a technical authority and drive alignment among senior leadership.
• Experience reviewing financial statements with a focus on judgements and disclosures.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical standards to non-finance teams.
• Must be based in or able to commute to London, UK for a hybrid work arrangement.

• Experience within a banking, CFD, spread betting, or financial services institution.
