What you will do

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a modern payment platform.
• Develop and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservice-based solutions.
• Ensure software quality through TDD, BDD, and automated testing practices.
• Collaborate with architects, QA engineers, and Product Owners in an Agile environment.
• Support troubleshooting, debugging, and technical documentation to reduce complexity.
• Contribute to frontend development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as required.

Requirements

• Must be based in the European Union region with a valid work permit.
• Commercial experience with Java 17 or newer.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate, and enterprise Java development.
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience with SQL, relational databases, and Unix/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps culture, and clean coding practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Experience with enterprise-scale platform modernization.
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity.
