Gameplay Programmer (Unreal Engine)

Location: Kraków, Małopolskie, Poland; onsite or remote options available

What you will do

• Oversee and maintain the gameplay codebase and gameplay features.
• Prototype and implement gameplay systems.
• Support AI and tools development departments.
• Solve problems affecting gameplay systems.
• Conduct research and development on current gameplay technologies and trends.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with UE4, UE5, or an equivalent engine.
• Experience prototyping and implementing gameplay systems on an Unreal Engine-based AA or AAA title in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine 5 gameplay design patterns.
• Experience with the Gameplay Ability System and familiarity with Unreal Engine animation systems.
• Self-reliance in problem-solving and good communication skills.

Nice to have

• Console development or console code optimization experience for PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.
• Experience with decision-making systems other than Behaviour Trees.
• Experience with different character animation system approaches.
• Scripting experience in C# or Python.
• Good understanding of World Partition.
