Senior Engineer, Gameplay (C++)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid or full-time in-office work in the Warsaw Hub is required. Relocation is required.

Salary: 23,700–37,455 PLN gross monthly

What you will do

• Design, implement, optimize, document, and maintain core gameplay systems.
• Own key gameplay features and ensure scalability, performance, and quality.
• Develop gameplay tools and debugging utilities to improve development workflows.
• Collaborate with designers, programmers, QA, production, and other specialists to define technical scope and deliver gameplay mechanics.
• Debug, profile, and resolve complex technical challenges across large-scale gameplay systems.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional programming experience in the games industry.
• Experience shipping at least one AAA title.
• Strong C++ expertise and experience with Unreal Engine 5.
• Knowledge of game engine architecture, algorithms, multithreaded systems, 3D vector mathematics, matrices, and linear algebra.
• Advanced experience with combat, animation, locomotion, or physics systems, plus strong debugging skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, and willingness to relocate to Warsaw.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Visual Studio and engineering workflow tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience taking ownership, driving initiatives, sharing knowledge, and supporting continuous learning.
